America is home to 140 million poor and low-income people who are living without health insurance, without fair wages, without clean water, and without the basic necessities we need to survive. But together we can do M.O.R.E. — Mobilizing, Organizing, Registering, Educating people for a movement that votes. Poor and low-income people have the power to change the political landscape in this nation. We must vote this November like our lives depend on it … because they do.
That’s why on September 14th, 2020, the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival brought together religious leaders, politicians, social justice activists, actors, and musicians came together for a National Moral Monday Mass Meeting and Teach-In. Millions of people watched as they shared tools on voter empowerment, engagement, registration, and protection. Watch here. Now you can get those powerful tools, too, and help spread the word about the importance of voting in the upcoming elections. Click here to get a digital toolkit, which will provide you with images, social media posts, and emails that you can use to ensure turnout of poor and low-income voters in your community.
The Poor People’s Campaign recently released a report that shows how a small uptick in the number of poor and low-income voters will change the political landscape of American. That means we will have the opportunity to provide health care, jobs, wages, housing, food, water, and other basic necessities to those of us who need them the most.
