More than 250 activists came together at the Conference on U.S. Foreign Military Bases, January 12-14, at the University of Baltimore, and agreed to support a new Coalition Against U.S. Foreign Military Bases. The Coalition is now planning a National Day of Anti-War Action in the spring.
UFPJ encourages all our member groups to participate in the National Day of Anti-War Action. Join an organizing call on Saturday February 3, 3-4:30 PM EST.
Conference participants also plan a Day of National Action Against Guantanamo on February 23. And they voted to demand that all charges be dropped against anti-Okinawa Base activists, Hiroji Yamashiro, Hiroshi Inaba, and Atsuhiro Soeda, who have been arrested in Japan.
