United for Peace and Justice is getting ready to participate in the Left Forum 2016: Rage, Rebellion, Revolution: Organizing our Power! (May 20-22nd in NYC), and we want to know if you’ll meet us there.
At the Left Forum, UFPJ will be:
- Hosting a panel/discussion with UFPJ leadership, Alumni and peace movement leaders, to discuss how our movement can build power to stop the US’s endless militarism and redirect efforts to meet human needs
- Participating in panels with allies (including one on Nuclear Disarmament w/ fellow members of Peace and Planet)
- Organizing a private UFPJ Activist Meet-up/Social with activists, organizers, and UFPJ Alumni (Please RSVP Here for free to get an invitation to this special event)
We, in UFPJ, have observed and responded to the US-led wars and the broader War on Terror for more than a decade. Today, while some of the players have changed in the wars around the globe, we still face many of the same threats and challenges to global peace. We also recognize new opportunities for the Peace Movement to rise again, in this critical time. [Read our statement, US Militarism’s Expanse and the Need for a Movement to Cut Military Spending and Invest in Human Needs.]
Join us at the Left Forum, so that together, we can participate in meaningful discussions that will shape our strategy, program, action plan, and ultimately guide our movement forward!
Please RSVP for to let UFPJ know if you’ll be attending the Left Forum. I’ll be sure to send you a special invitation for a private UFPJ Activist Meet-up/Social, during the Forum.
