Talking Points -- Counter Military Recruitment
Recently
one of our interns had the opportunity to give a live interview about
National Youth and Student Peace Coalition's November 17th Not Your
Soldier National Day of Action. The interview was with right-wing radio
host Brian Ferrar, whose political ideology is similar to such
conservatives as Bill O-Reilly and "Dr. Laura." The following provides
the major talking points that were used (drawn from a rough transcript
of the interview) to defend counter-military recruitment, and dispell
some of the assertions made by Ferrar. This may prove useful to those
who find themselves in interviews, arguments, or any other situations
in which the idea of counter-recruitment is challenged. Download talking points (in MS Word format).
